The CA202 piezoelectric accelerometer is one of the core products of the vibro-meter brand under Meggitt, designed specifically for industrial vibration monitoring and measurement. The sensor employs a symmetrical shear-mode polycrystalline piezoelectric sensing element housed in an austenitic stainless steel case, offering excellent mechanical stability and long-term reliability. Model 144-202-000-205 is the standard version equipped with a 3-meter integral low-noise cable, suitable for industrial vibration monitoring in non-hazardous areas.

5. Installation & Usage Recommendations

  1. Mounting Orientation: The sensor should be mounted along the measurement axis, with the arrow direction aligned with the vibration direction to ensure a positive signal output.

  2. Mounting Surface: Should be flat and clean; no additional insulating washer is required.

  3. Cable Securing: Avoid excessive bending or strain on the cable; use cable clamps for support.

  4. Signal Conditioning: Must be used with a charge amplifier (e.g., IPC70x) to obtain a voltage signal for data acquisition systems.

  5. Calibration: Dynamically calibrated at the factory (5 g, 120 Hz); generally no recalibration is needed.
