The A9F55116 is a 16‑ampere, single‑pole miniature circuit breaker from Schneider Electric’s Acti9 iC60H series, configured with a D‑curve tripping characteristic (magnetic trip set at 12 × In). This high‑threshold design makes it the preferred solution for circuits that experience substantial inrush currents – for instance, motor starters, hoists, solenoid loads, capacitive banks, and small transformers – where lower‑curve breakers would be prone to unwanted tripping. Like all iC60H models, this breaker complies with both the EN/IEC 60947‑2 industrial standard and the EN/IEC 60898‑1 residential standard, giving it broad applicability across commercial, industrial, and domestic panels. The device integrates the well‑known VisiTrip indicator window, which clearly shows the tripped pole to shorten fault‑diagnosis time, and the VisiSafe green strip that offers undeniable visual verification that the contacts are physically open – a critical safety assurance before any downstream work. Its quick‑close mechanism, actuated independently of the toggle handle, guarantees consistent switching behaviour and contributes to a long operational life, rated at 10,000 electrical and 20,000 mechanical cycles. Despite its 16 A rating, the breaker retains a compact 18 mm width (2 modular pitches) and clips securely onto DIN rails, optimizing space in distribution boards. The double‑tunnel terminals accept rigid conductors up to 25 mm² and flexible up to 16 mm², with a 2 N·m torque specification. It operates reliably across a wide temperature range (-35 °C to +70 °C) and offers IP20 protection at the terminals. Environmentally, the product uses halogen‑free plastics, is PVC‑free, and achieves 54% recyclability, with a total lifecycle carbon footprint of 14 kg CO₂ eq. – all transparently disclosed in the product’s environmental profile.
